Trust and Safety

This page is a summary. It sets out, in one place, the safeguards that decide what may be sold on LinkPay and what happens when something should not have been. It creates no obligations of its own: where this page and a policy differ, the policy governs.

The documents behind it are the Acceptable Use Policy, the Content Moderation, Reporting and Removal policy, the DMCA Notice and the 18 U.S.C. §2257 Compliance Notice. Every document in the suite is listed at Terms and policies.

Only verified sellers may publish. Before a seller can offer anything for sale, their identity and age are verified against a government-issued identity document with a biometric check, through our verification provider, Persona Identities, Inc. There are no tiers and no exceptions: an account is verified, or it cannot sell.

Everyone who appears in Adult Content must be verified in the same way and must have agreed to the terms that apply to them — sellers under the Terms for Sellers, and anyone else appearing in the Content under the Co-Creator Agreement. A seller must be able to produce those records to us on request.

All Content is reviewed before it is published. Anything that may be illegal, or that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy, is removed immediately, and the account is suspended or terminated according to the severity of what was found.

What may and may not be sold, shown or written is set out in full in the Acceptable Use Policy, which also carries the Content Guidelines and the list of Forbidden Terms.

Content involving anyone appearing to be under 18, non-consensual activity of any kind, incest, rape or sexual assault, bestiality, intoxication in a sexual or exploitative context, and deepfakes or other non-consensual synthetic depictions of real people are strictly prohibited. All of it is subject to immediate removal, and to suspension or termination of the account that published it.

There is no threshold and no appeal to weigh here: material that sexually exploits a minor has no place on LinkPay and never will.

Every image and video published to the Platform is screened by machine learning built to detect it, including material it has not seen before. Every piece of text — captions, display names, handles, biographies, payment link titles and descriptions — is screened against the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) list of unacceptable terms, including attempts to evade that screening with alternative spellings or special characters. Age and identity verification of everyone appearing in Adult Content sits underneath both.

Where the law requires it, or where we judge it necessary, we report illegal Content to the applicable authorities or law enforcement agency. A removal changes the Content's status on the Platform; it does not destroy the record we may be required to preserve.

Anyone appearing in Content on LinkPay may have it removed, whether or not they are a user of LinkPay, and they do not have to be the person who published it. That is the Content Removal half of the Content Moderation, Reporting and Removal policy, and it exists so that consent stays a live thing rather than something signed once.

Non-consensual activity is prohibited outright under the Acceptable Use Policy, and so is the depiction of it. Sellers must verify the identity and age of every co-creator who appears in their Content, and hold a signed Co-Creator Agreement from each of them.

Sellers may publish only Content that is theirs, or that they are authorized to publish, license and sell.

Claims of copyright infringement are handled under the DMCA Notice, which sets out what a notice must contain, how to file a counter notification, and the address of our designated Copyright Agent. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are terminated.

What we collect, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have are set out in the Privacy Notice.

Two things worth stating here rather than only there. Identity documents and verification images are held by Persona, not on your LinkPay profile, and are never shown to buyers or to any other user; the biometric identifier is generated and held by Persona and never reaches LinkPay. And a buyer's payment details are handled by our payment provider — LinkPay stores no card number.

Anyone can report Content, and anyone can request that Content showing them be removed. Neither requires a LinkPay account. Both routes, and exactly what each submission must contain, are set out in the Content Moderation, Reporting and Removal policy.

Reports of illegal Content, and requests to remove Content, are reviewed and resolved within five (5) business days.

To report Content, use the report control on the payment link or profile in question. To have Content showing you removed, or if you cannot reach the page, write to support@linkpay.co. Copyright claims go to the Copyright Agent named in the DMCA Notice instead.

A removal is not the end of the process. A seller may appeal the removal of their Content, and a person whose removal request or report was declined may appeal that decision. Both appeal routes, and how each is resolved, are in the Content Moderation, Reporting and Removal policy.

If LinkPay and the person who appealed still disagree after that internal review, the disagreement may be referred to a neutral independent review body. LinkPay, as the merchant, pays the cost of that independent review. Illegal Content, including child sexual abuse material, is not restored through appeal or independent review.

Complaints made in bad faith — to remove a competitor's Content, or repeatedly without foundation — are themselves a breach of our terms and are dealt with as one.

Records for Adult Content published on the Platform are kept as 18 U.S.C. §2257 requires, and the Records Custodian and the address at which those records are available for inspection are named in the 18 U.S.C. §2257 Compliance Notice.

Every report and every removal request is tracked, and a Monthly Compliance Report is generated from that record for our payment providers. It lists the Content reported as illegal, in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy or requested for removal; the action taken on each; and the credentials our providers need to view paywalled Content when they audit us.
